Masters´ Records

We are thrilled to share the release of the official 2023 long-track records list, approved by the IMSSC Board, following the successful 46th session held in Inzell. This season has been nothing short of extraordinary, with a remarkable increase in the number of record-breaking achievements compared to 2022. In total, an impressive 49 records have been shattered, with 10 records set by male athletes and an incredible 38 records set by their female counterparts. Our heartfelt congratulations go out to all the exceptional athletes who have pushed the boundaries of their performance!

On Nov. 7th 2023 we also received and processed ST records stated during MIST Games in April 2023. The event followed IMSSC rules and regulations, so records are recognized.

As customary, the LT Record Lists 2023 are available in two different formats: a list organized by age group (AG) and a list categorized by distance/race, along with a summary of the newly established records. For ST there's just a single list file. You can access the downloadable PDF documents below.

Check a few LT stats, after the file link.

Things are back in motion after two virus-ridden seasons. Following IMSSC's 45th session, we are publishing the 2022 list of both short and long-track records that were approved by the IMSSC Board. In spite of the few competitions in the calendar, 44 records were established, of which 30 belong to short track, and 23 were done by lady skaters. Kudos!

As usual, the Record Lists 2022 are in 2 different formats: a list by AG and a list by distance/race (plus a recap of the new records). Find the downloadable PDF documents below.  Check a few stats, after the file link.

After yet another online annual session, we are publishing the 2021 list of long-track records that were approved by the IMSSC Board. Considering the very few races that were organized during the past season, it is quite remarkable to have a double record from Mr. Sergey Mazein. Congratulations to the russian Master!

There were no records reported for Masters on short-track, so last year's list remains unmodified.

These IMSSC Record Lists 2021 are in 2 different formats: a list by AG and a list by distance/race. Find the downloadable PDF documents below.

After an unusual online annual session, we are publishing the 2020 list of long-track records that were confirmed by the IMSSC Board. We would like to thank organizers and members from the Netherlands, Italy and Russia, who were the only ones which submitted records in due time and providing the necessary documentation.
Also, gratitude and recognition are due to Sven-Åge Svensson (former IMSSC Statistician) and Leen van den Heuvel for their valuable contributions, as well as Tjeerd Smies and Sue Steckle, who went out of their way to obtain cooperation from rogue organizers. Finally, thanks to all members and skaters that pointed out errors and omissions.
And Kudos to Arne Kjell Foldvik for an amazing season!

From this year onwards, we'll be keeping the Masters' short-track world records as well. Many thanks to Keith Wright, who provided the first batch.
