The 39th IMSSC Session took place in Amsterdam/NED on May 28th, 2016, with the 21 representatives from 16 Nations (AUT, BLR, CAN, ESP, FIN, GER, ITA, JPN, KAZ, LAT, NED, NOR. RUS, SWE, SWI, USA). Sven-Åge Svensson was named as Honorary Member of the IMSSC for his great dedication to the Master movement; but Sven-Åge is still working very hard for IMSSC as Statistician !!! Congratulated for outstanding 18 World Records newly set in 2015-2016 season. Both Masters Games Sprint 2016 (Baselga di Piné/ITA in February) and Masters Games Allround 2016 (Leeuwarden/NED in March) had great success, 104 skaters from 14 Nations in Baselga di Piné and 200 skaters from 16 Nations in Leeuwarden/NED. This coming season Masters’ Allround Games 2017, hosted by Fort St.John/CAN, was assigned to overall 200 participants (the nation quota is CAN 40, FIN 7, GER 15, ITA 8, JPN 5, NED 46, NOR 46, RUS 5, USA 10, Others 18) while Masters’ Sprint Games 2017 in Inzell/GER was assigned to overall 220 participants (the nation quota is CAN 6, FIN 8, GER 40, ITA 13, KAZ 5, NED 72, NOR 36, RUS 22, SWI 5, USA 3, Others 10). Netherlands was awarded to Masters’ Sprint Games 2019 while no application were received for Masters’ Allround Games in 2019. Others proposals and outstanding issues were thoroughly discussed and voted to move on to new season. Next session, 40th IMSSC Session, is scheduled on June 10th (Sat) in Amsterdam/NED.
